The College rented premises from the Municipality of Masvingo that included 2 buildings in the high density suburb of Mucheke near Mucheke Hall. Intermediate in 1987 the College offered National Diploma courses in two disciplines and also introduced National Certificate in Marketing Management. In 1988, the College moved to its present site, adjacent to the provincial capital, Masvingo town, and 25km from the historic ruins of Great Zimbabwe.
In 1992 saw the birth of Engineering Departments such as Electrical, Mechanical and Automotive. These were offered to institutional (District) students only. In the following year, disciplines such as Art and Design, Clothing, Hairdressing and Chemical were introduced. Meanwhile the Division of Commerce offered Higher National Diploma in Accountancy and Marketing and also introduced Computer Studies, Storekeeping and Electrical studies. HND in Secretarial Studies was then offered in 1999.
Since then, the College expanded to offer a variety of courses such as Food Science, Motor Vehicle Body Repair, Computer Systems, Instrumentation, Civil and Construction, Horticulture, Purchasing and Supply, Human Resources Management, Records Management and Bachelor of Technology in Food Science. Both full time and part- time students were enrolled. Currently the College has five (5) Divisions and 17 functional departments, (see attached structure). In 2015, Animal Production was introduced in the department of Horticulture.
